David Jackson won the biggest prize of his poker career by far as he took down the Borgata Spring Poker Open Championship $2,700 Main Event for $304,929 on Friday evening. Jackson made it through a field of 505 in the $1 million guaranteed event.
He beat top pro Shannon Shorr heads up.
It's Jackson's 11th tournament win, his second at Borgata. Previously, he had one six-figure cash — $183,498 for a fourth-place finish at the WSOP in 2014. Overall, he now has over $1.8 million in total cashes.

The 505 entries eclipsed the guarantee by $262,500. Former WSOP Main Event champ Scott Blumstein, Will Failla, Daniel Santoro, Joseph Galazzo and Tom Cannuli were some of the players making the penultimate day of play but falling short of the final table.
Shorr was on the brink of elimination down to four big blinds after losing a sizable pot to Jackson, according to the live updates, but he battled back to squeak into the final table with 10 big blinds.
Jackson moved into the lead as the field was narrowed toward the streamed final six, but Jake Toole edged past him as Brandon Mueller busted on the Day 4 bubble. Both players had just south of 70 big blinds.
Final Day Action
Andrew Dudley and Michael Cohen were the two short stacks and the only players under 15 big blinds with everyone else on 40-plus and they were the first two down on stream. Dudley lost a race with king-queen to the tens of Vladimir Alexandrov and Jackson flopped a set with fives to crush Cohen's deuces.
That moved Jackson over 100 big blinds and gave him over half of the chips.
